Our School: Tunaskolan

Our school is located in the central part of Lund. The school has pupils from the ages of 6-16. There are about 695 pupils and 73 teachers and it´s actually one of the biggest schools in Lund.
The school has also a section for children with learning problems and the education is specially adjusted for them. In the Swedish school system there are some main subjects you have to study. Those subjects are: Swedish, maths, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and civics.
There are also other subjects that are completed with the others but they are elective. In Sweden all the pupils get free lunch every day and the school material is also free.

Welcome to the "Världen och Vi" homepage!

We are a school named Tunaskolan located in a small city in southern Sweden named Lund.
In our school we have a subject called "Världen och Vi" (=The World and Us) and we study the world from different aspects and points of views. We study countries around the globe and we treat topics as the human rights, poverty, pollution, child abuse, the enviroment etc.
We are involved in the "Globetree" project and we have been following the "Blue Wave" a project sponsored by the "Globetree". They are involved in different projects including subjects like youths and children, enviromental situations, cooperation in a higher level and different cultures. Several countries in the world are cooperating with the "Globetree", some of these countries are: Brazil, Kenya, Indonesia, Bolivia, Nicaragua and India. If you would like some more information about the "Globetree" , you can read their homepages: http://wwis.upnet.se/globetree.
