Hello, from Ben in Bandung.

Greetings from Gede Raka in Bandung

who wants you to know that many schools in Bandung would have liked to be participating online but for the lack of computers, modems and servers. Schools will be connected during the next two years.

The Creativity program, started with help from SIDA through Forum Syd, has spread all over Indonesia. We are now trying to respond to the many questions. Meanwhile Creativity programs have started in Yogyakarta and on Bali. To help people, especially young people, to see in other ways, act in other ways and share in other ways.
That is part of Future Vessel for Indonesia!

Greetings from Ibu Kasur in Jakarta

who works with children under five.

She does what she can to plant the feeling for nature in her schools, the feeling for other people, the feeling for what life really is. She does that in simple songs, in simple games and simple stories. All these are parts of Future Vessel for Indonesia.

Greetings from Ibu Upin in Bandung

and the children from her school.

We have visited the school this afternoon and the children showed how they learned Pencak Silat - the West Javanese shadow boxing that becomes a dance. They do that to become self aware and self confident. That is part of their Future Vessel.

The children have sang a song for Future Vessel in Stockholm. The song is called: Hello Bandung, a beautiful melody but with a sad origin: the bruning of the city during revolution. The song reminds everyone of our capacity to build up what is being destroyed - maybe material is lost but we are there with our creativity to build what we believe in. That is another part of Future Vessel from Indonesia.

38 students from the United World College of South East Asi, in Singapore, are visiting Bandung this week. They are here to learn from and with young people of their own age. They want to know what development is, not from books but from what is going on in a developing world. At the end of their visit they will tell Future Meeting on Internet what they would like to share with you all!

I will be back later - it is now 17.00 here in Bandung; 12.00 in Stockholm.

Hej då - wassalam!
