HELLO FROM SOUTHAMPTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, SOUTHAMPTON, NEW YORK (LONG ISLAND) USA. The children in our school have been participants for the last five years in various local environmental issues important to our community and surrounding area. We have identified our problems and attempted to find solutions through discussions with environmental professionals and participation in various environmental conferences and seminars. Our students have prepared multimedia presentations which we have shared at these conferences and now wish to share with the Future Vessel.
At this point we would like to send text, along with graphics, pictures, and diagrams. We would like to have as many people as possible contact us with their Internet addresses. Our E-mail attachments may need to be encoded and later decoded by the recipient. Please specify which method of decoding/encoding you are presently using and if there is any other procedure you recommend. Understandably there are some Future Vessel participants who do not have access to the Internet who may wish to fax us at 516-283-6891.
Through our participation in these ongoing environmental projects our students have assumed ownership of their future. Students' involvement and enthusiasm will continue to be the fuel that powers the engine of the Future Vessel.
